Jupp! It is good to hear from you! Thanks for the kind words. I hope the past few years has been good to you as well. Yeesh, it's hard to believe it's been, what, four or five years since the CoDI saga came to an end? Oy, time flies!

That's fantastic Indoril helm you've got there. Any chance I could a copy of it for use in one of my mods. The unfinished bits are fine - all I really need is the face. Absolutely beautiful detail on it.

Heh, I don't know that I'd call myself a 'true pioneer', but thank you; I appreciate it! Right now, I've been spending my free time tinkering around with the Half life 2 Source engine, actually. I may try my hand at a Team Fortress 2 map, but I'll have to see how that pans out.

Yeah, I've heard the exact opposite too, that studios want to hire specialists more than anything. Indeed, one could say that a technical artist role is itself a specialization, so it's probably not as cut-and-dry as the article might lead some to think.

I read that same article, and I'm not sure what I went into it thinking, but I didn't expect to hear him say they prefer generalists. I've always been of the mindset that it's better to master one trade than be average at all of them. Interesting to hear!
